Luna's Tide
by Lucretia T Knight
Luna was born with blue hair, azure to be exact, the color of the deepest sea. Since her mother’s mysterious disappearance when she was one-year-old, Luna has convinced herself that she is part mermaid. Her father’s perpetual grief has led him to the bottle and the open road. At nineteen, Luna decides to join her mother and jumps from a cliff at lunar tide into the ocean. Her failed attempt forces her to the office of a therapist. During her treatment, she reveals a supernatural gift that inexplicably reunites her with her mother. She returns to the cliffs where she learns a truth as deep as the ocean about herself and her unique place in the world.
