Her mind is to marry a rich man, regardless of love, so she will never be poor again; instead, she falls in love with a handsome, young landowner with whom she can have it all; love, security, and wealth. As fate would have it, there are obstacles to their romance: his wife, an evil aristocrat, a beautiful gypsy, and Gallows Hill.
