I am having a raffle!

   In this economy, it is tough to justify spending $1300 on the illustration/design of your book., even though that is the low end of the industry standard rate scale. Especially when bills need paid and kids need fed first.

   I have been wanting to help authors for some time now, but I am burdened by the same economy, bills, and needs as they.

   At the beginning of the school year, I offered my annual sale: $700 for 12-16 illustrations, cover design, layout, etc.

    I can't afford to continually do that however, that rate is way under minimum wage, much less a full time wage.

   So here is my latest offer. A raffle.

   For every 52 authors/publishers who purchase a single $25 dollar raffle ticket, one will win a full illustration/design contract including 12 illustrations, cover illustration/design, design layout of the book block, book trailer, and bookmark design.

   A running tab will be kept on the blog, to keep all participants informed as to how often a drawing will be held, and who is participating in the raffle.

   This offers free publicity for all authors and their titles on my vast network, regardless as to whether they win the prize or not.

   Like all raffles, each ticket purchased, increases your chances of winning.

   Those that do not win, can put their $25 purchase towards a full contract at the normal rate, if they choose to later, so the email confirmation should be kept.
