I loved the theme to this book -- which in turn made the cover fun. It is directed at the senior reader, but I think anyone would find this book charming.
Angels of Interstate 29 is about...
Tex Harris has just turned 70 and been put out to pasture by his employer. The curtain seems to be falling on his life. Before the obese soprano can vocalize the final notes, Tex discovers there is more to living than a career. After rescuing a damsel in distress on the freeway, he decides the role of hero fits him as well as the white Stetson he always wears. He organizes a group of senior citizens to patrol the highway to help those in need. His quest brings him into contact with Lizzie, an attractive widow who captures his heart. Unfortunately, she also wins the affection of Tex ’s best friend and his newly acquainted worst enemy. The three compete for Lizzie’s affections as they all experience new things together. Tex learns that being a hero means sometimes means making enemies with long memories and more importantly that forgiveness is the most wonderful gift of all.
This is the second cover I had the honor of designing for Donald (the first being All the Voices of the Wind). Both covers and the author will be featured soon on my Cover Chatter blog.

TESTIMONIAL:
"Don't ask me how to pronounce her first name - but that's cool. I call her something easier, Supergirl. After messing around trying to produce my own cover with some help from a friend - a process that literally took a couple of months and uncountable strands of gray hair - I decided to let Aidana have a crack at producing my cover. Her price was much more reasonable that most I had seen, and I liked what I saw in her portfolio. But I had no clue what kind of person she was to work with. After a few emails went back and forth, I decided to go for it. I sent her the specs early in the morning. When I got back from lunch that day, she'll already sent me a candidate. It took some going back and forth to get what I wanted but Aidana was quick to respond to each change and very pleasant on top of that and we had a cover completed within the next two days. A week after I thought it was wrapped up, I found that we had a little problem and Aidana fixed it for me ASAP (again). I have a feeling she is going to get so busy with satisfied customers like me that her response time will not be as lightning fast - but she'll still be a nobrainer choice for creating your book cover. A book is almost like a baby. Aidana created my baby's face. And I'm forever grateful."
